Our Leagues

We have a variety of leagues for curlers of all experience levels. Whether you are looking for friendly competition, a social night out, daytime curling, or a league to enjoy with friends, there is something for you at the Vic.

Choose Your Own Team – Open

This is an open format "Choose Your Own Team" league. Teams may be made up of any combination of male and female players. Once the teams are set at the beginning of the season, they are divided into equal divisions so that teams can participate in friendly yet competitive games at similarly matched skill levels. This league is ideal for a group of 4 who would like to curl together, regardless of skill level or experience. Members from across the club are invited to join us for "Championship Night" where we determine the top ranked team of each division and celebrate a great season. Individual registrants are accepted, it may be possible to find you a team that is seeking a player. Please contact the club.

Choose Your Own Team – Mixed

This is a true mixed league where teams must be composed of two male and two female curlers, with the lead and vice positions played by people of the same gender. Individual registrants are accepted, it may be possible to find you a team that is seeking a player. Please contact the club.

Monday Recreational

Teams are created to balance experienced and newer players. Teams are shuffled every few weeks, giving members the opportunity to play and socialize with different curlers throughout the season. With a wide range of skill levels, newer curlers can easily integrate into the league. This is a great starting point for curlers who have just completed a Learn to Curl program. The league will also make efforts to accommodate requests from carpoolers to play at the same time.

Tuesday Recreational

Friday Recreational

Friday Rec is an open-format, drop in, recreational league where everyone has the opportunity to play and socialize with many different members throughout the season.The league includes a wide range of skill levels, from first-year players to experienced curlers.

Out on the Ice

Out on the Ice is a recreational league which meets once a month. This league was founded with the goal of providing dedicated time and space where LGBTQ2+ curlers and their allies can come together, connect, and enjoy the sport we all love.

Open Tag Curling

Our tag curling timeslots are open to all curlers and available at multiple times each week. A comfortable and welcoming environment awaits curlers who want to play. Teams are made from those present for a fun and social game each day.

Day Ladies

The Day Ladies league offers a fun, social environment with just the right amount of friendly competition. Perfect for those new to curling or experienced, everyone will find a welcoming and supportive group where you can build your skills, try different positions, and enjoy the game. Bring your lunch and stick around after the game for tea, coffee, laughs, and a chance to connect with your fellow curlers.

Day Men

This league runs a competitive draw with games scheduled at 12:30PM on Tuesday and/or Thursday to accommodate all teams. Each draw is four games with teams changing after each draw to provide curlers an opportunity to play with different people. The season is scheduled for five draws. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams in each draw at the closing party. You may also have the opportunity to curl on Fridays for interclub curling, when we host or visit other clubs from the area.

Two Person Stick

This league is one of our newer but fastest growing leagues. Curlers all use a delivery stick and play on teams of two. Welcoming to those who are experienced with the stick delivery or looking to try something new.

Friday Doubles

If you are looking for a new challenge, this recreational open league may be for you. There are no rules regarding gender, and the league is open to curlers throwing from the traditional crouch position as well as stick curlers. Players register individually and are placed on a team. Teams are shuffled every few weeks, giving curlers the opportunity to play and socialize with different members throughout the season.

Youth

The Vic welcomes youth ages 6–11 and 12–15, regardless of skill level, to learn more about curling. This is an excellent starter league that provides instruction and games. Young curlers can learn at their own pace in small groups with friendly instructors.
